The Montessori Academy* has received both Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and American Montessori Society (AMS) accreditation; there are only two other schools in the state of Georgia that have received such an honor. Our school’s commitment to accreditation assures parents and the community that the school is focused on raising student achievement, providing a safe and enriching learning environment, and maintaining an efficient and effective operation. Accreditation ensures adherence to the highest quality standards, based on the latest research and successful professional practices, and opens our school’s doors to review and support from an organization bringing 100 years of experience in improving educational quality.
At MASS we have educational opportunities for Montessori Primary (3-6 years), Montessori Lower Elementary (6-9 years), Upper Elementary (9-12 years), Middle School (12-15 years), and High School (15-17 years) students. Montessori Academy Vickery offers opportunities for Montessori Infants (6-18 months), Pre-Primary (18 months-3 years), Primary (3-6 years), Lower Elementary (6-9 years), and Upper Elementary (9-12 years).
*Montessori at Vickery has undergone preliminary visits by SACS and AMS review committees, receiving high marks from both, and will complete full SACS and AMS accreditation in Spring 2012.
