A strong community is the backbone of a successful school. When parents, teachers, and students are invested, the best possible environment for growth and achievement is realized.
Our frequent Parent Education events help parents learn more about the Montessori approach to education and Montessori Academy in particular. Dialogue between parents and administration and staff is encouraged through monthly Coffee and Chat sessions, parent conferences, and our open-door policy for questions and feedback.
There are also a multitude of volunteer opportunities for parents, including reading, gardening, and cooking with students, preparing classroom materials, and serving as a class Room Advisor. Parents are also encouraged to get involved in the Parent Student Organization, which serves as a connection between parents, students, and teachers and helps facilitate classroom businesses.
The partnership of our parents with teachers and students truly creates a family environment where children grow and thrive.
