Piano

Mrs. Julie Yu has been teaching in the Roswell area for more than 30 years. Mrs. Yu is a member of Music Teacher National Association, Georgia Music Teacher Association, North Fulton Music Teacher Association, and National Piano Foundation. She studied her music in Hong Kong with Royal Conservatory of Music. She also received her Bachelor of Science degree in Canada. Tennis

Tennis coaches supply everything for your child—including age-appropriate kid-sized rackets, foam and low-compression balls, miniature tennis nets. Techniques in forehand, backhand, servings and volleys will be shown. Catechesis (Level 1)

Free tuition with on a $30 supply fee (per student) and payable to: Martie Ball. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a basic approach to the religious formation of children. It is rooted in the biblical, liturgical, and educational principals of Maria Montessori. In a non-denominational setting, the goal of this class is for the individual child to form a genuine and faithful relation with God and Jesus Christ, The Good Shepherd. This is taught during the academic school day. Registration forms are located in the school foyer and can be turned in at the front desk.

Spanish

When: Tuesdays 2:30-3:00 PM
Who: Ages 2.5+

The Spanish after-school will be taught by Cristal Conteras. Lessons involve sensorial activities, Spanish songs and games. Students will take this journey with a native Spanish speaking instructor who will introduce them to the basic Spanish language skills: speaking, listening, comprehension and reading. Gymnastics/Tumbling

When: Tuesdays 2:15 – 3:00pm and 3:05  – 3:50pm
Who: Ages 2 – 5, kids grouped according to age

Wee Kidz offers an exciting program designed to help children develop coordination and motor skills based on their level. This class also enhances children’s listening and social skills while building self-esteem in a structured, appealing and fun-filled atmosphere. Tumbling and pre-gymnastics teaches basic skills on different types of apparatus, including floor balance beam, octagon, incline & decline mats, cartwheel mats, trapezoids, and more. Sign-up sheets are located in the foyer or you can complete an enrollment form to leave at the front desk. Progress reports are handed out quarterly. Art

Come and let’s get Creative! This class gives each student a chance to explore their own talents using acrylics, pastels, watercolors, markers, colored pencils, pens and other mixed media through the use of canvas, sketchbooks and more. While obtaining a greater understanding of art and creating their own masterpieces, structured lessons are taught in a fun, exciting and relaxed environment. Playball Sports and More

Playball is more than just sports. This program offers a stimulating, structured and fun environment, providing children with the necessary movement and development skills that help lay the foundation for future success in sports participation. Violin

Allison Jones has been teaching strings for 31 years. She taught Orchestra for 27 years in Fulton Country Schools before teaching private lessons. Allison uses a blend of traditional and Suzuki violin teaching methods. She is certified Georgia P-12 teacher. Students will learn to count rhythm, sight sing, and identify note names, while learning violin techniques. Allison has bachelors from University of Georgia, where she studied under Woo-Mo Kim and Thomas Weaver. Parents are advised to wait for guidance in the rental or purchase of violins, as they come in all qualities and sizes. Chess

The North Georgia Chess Club offers a flexible program that is open to all primary and elementary students. This enrichment class focuses on visualization techniques, chess principles, how to apply these principles, chess notations, clock management and tournament etiquette. The goal is to help students become better chess players and teach those beginners who want to learn and enjoy the game. Tap-Ballet

Creative Movement and Dance offers a combination class of tap and ballet. Since ballet is the basis for all dance techniques, the combination of both works hand in hand. The technical training is taught through ballet, which in turn helps reach proper shifting of weight and patterns in movement for tap. Early Simple Machines

Youth Technology Learning Center (YTLC) utilizes LEGO early simple machines to build real world engineering models. Colorful and fun building sections introduce children to simple machines and mechanics. This introductory class is open to all interested primary students. Camps are also offered. Funky Monkey Yoga

This fun and engaging class will teach age appropriate yoga posses, including breathing techniques, mindfulness and self calming techniques. Also, fun games and songs will be used and all exercises are geared toward the specific age group and interest of your child. Yummy Cooking

Cooking is not only fun, engaging activity for children, but one that has been used for years for teaching and development tool for all ages. Hands-on cooking activities help children develop confidence in building small muscle control, eye hand coordination, inspires curiosity, thinking and problem solving. Wendy Hood is a personal trainer, P.E. Coach at Montessori Schools and health coach with the institute for Integrative Nutrition. Cake Decorating

This class will cover up techniques using a variety of fun tools, materials, and food items. Students can learn to decorate like a pro! Using step by step instructions, student will form shape, mold, and transfer decorations to make their own edible creations they can take home to share. Movie Making / Kid’s Coding

When: Thursday 3:30 – 4:30 PM

YTLC teaches movies creation through different process to include frame to frame animation, stop animation motion, special effects, and video camera skills. Students will be learning computer skills though interactions with movie design and creating characters, backgrounds and stories for a complete movie making process. All students will be able to take home their movies via CD at the end of class term. The coding course is designed for students who can read and have no prior programming experience. Students will create programs to solve problems and develop interactive games or stories they can share.
