Each class will have a designated day and time to garden. Gardening benefits the child’s understanding of the beginning to end process of plant growth. Maria Montessori felt it was very important for the child to feel and understand a connection to the earth. Through gardening, digging with their hands in the soil, and watching the plants grow enable our students to experience this and develop or strengthen that connection.
