At Montessori at Vickery, we are dedicated to providing each child with a high-quality, individualized Montessori education. Our students learn how to observe, question, think independently, and demonstrate kindness, courtesy, and respect. Our holistic curriculum also includes lessons on music and movement, valuing the earth, peace education, and exposure to cultures worldwide. Our campus in Cumming, Georgia offers educational programs and childcare for toddlers, primary, elementary, and middle school students.
Mixed-age classrooms allow students to interact with peers of different ages, developing leadership and collaboration skills. Classrooms are bright, spacious, and full of authentic Montessori materials designed for purposeful learning.
Beautiful outdoor learning environments include an individual garden for each class, water features, state-of-the-art playground equipment, and a covered outdoor learning area.

We are grateful for the wonderful staff at Montessori at Vickery. Everyone is caring, dedicated, and truly has the best interests of the children at heart. Joann, the school leader, is exceptional — always responsive and proactive, with a strong focus on student safety and clear communication. We feel very reassured knowing she leads with such care and thoughtfulness. We also deeply appreciate Mrs. Sadowski. No matter the day or time, she is always approachable and quick to respond. My daughter absolutely loves going to school! The teachers are all amazing — special shoutout to Nicole and Khan for being so passionate and caring with the kids. Joann is incredible too — she always goes above and beyond to help with anything we need. I was really nervous when I was expecting my second baby, but this wonderful team made the whole experience so much easier and more peaceful. Truly grateful for all of them!

It’s difficult to choose just one thing I love most about Montessori at Vickery because the school truly excels in so many areas. That said, the leadership of Joann Bauer, the director, really stands out. Her consistent and thoughtful communication keeps us as parents informed and involved, whether it’s about school events, programs, or simple updates. She helps create a strong sense of connection between families and the school. The shared values among the teachers and staff, and the way they instill those values in the students, are something we deeply appreciate. The campus itself is always clean and well-organized, which reflects the dedication of the entire team. We are genuinely happy and grateful to be part of the Montessori at Vickery community.
